Thinking outside the "box"!

The possibilities are endless...what started out as a castle quickly morphed into an ice cream parlour and a cave. In other words a private and creative  gathering place for friends.
After the box had been in our classroom for a week, the play was extended. On their own accord the children began to extend the play by bringing a variety of resources from other areas in the classroom to the box. The box became a blank canvas for budding artists and a basic frame for the architects and builders in the classroom.
Sometimes all you need is box, some tape and a little imagination!
