For the last few days we have been exploring pumpkins in our classes. Guessing what's inside at circle time, feeling and smelling the pulp at sensory areas, carving, planting the seeds and even naming them. Pete Pumpkin was a popular choice. At our parties we plan to taste pumpkin seeds and even have a few cooked pumpkin chunks to expand our palates. Who knew that a few pumpkins could provide so many days of fun activities?
Oh yeah... we teachers did!
Love and learning,
Miss Dorothy, Miss Heidi, Miss Karen and Miss Svetlana
Here's a poem we say in class:
5 Little pumpkins sitting on a gate
The first one said "Oh my it's getting late!"
The second one said "There are witches in the air"
The third one said "Well, I don't care"
The fourth one said "Let's run and run and run"
The fifth one said "It's Halloween fun!"
OOooo went the wind and out go the lights and the 5 little pumpkins rolled out of sight.
